Les Liaisons dangereuses

Pierre Choderlos de Laclos

€25

A flurry of letters written between August and January of two undisclosed years in the late 18th Century document the web of intrigue, seduction and revenge spun by ex-lovers Vicomte de Valmont and the Marquise de Merteuil. This is the dramatic construct behind Laclos’ Dangerous Liaisons from 1782, and the impetus for our original graphic treatment of the text.
More than three-hundred fine lines describe the flow of 175 correspondences: some form strings of continuous exchange, others end abruptly and without remorse. Read it, if you will, as a detailed map of the libertine moral universe, but beware the true nature of any web: all those who get caught in one are sure to meet a sticky end.
